poem || Steve Dalachinsky

father & son (after cole swenson)

molten glass is like a river
flow of lava from an extinct volcano
now a window into the past &
possible future
the father & son deal with images
one must look @ even if one were
deaf
one must blow to make the river still
blink to make the window move

(painting is cinema & vice versa)

the river becomes a window
the window a river
(or vice versa)
