poem || Steve Dalachinsky



the river becomes glass

molten glass
is like
a
river
flow of lava from
extinct
volcano (in auvergne)
now a window
into the past
& possible future
both father &
son deal w/images
that one must look at
even if one were
deaf
one must blow
to make the river
still
blink to make the
window
move.
