poem || Bobbi Lurie

anything you say calls up
its opposite
mazes contradictions
those who didn't know who read superficially
outlaw appears wild-man hurling imprecations at universe
martyred in process
committed to friends
beatific poetry
warrior against repression &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&conformity
curses find parallels Book of Job
quietist scribe
Tantric Bible
urgency to read
coffee houses passers-by on street whether they wanted to listen or not
wise-ass looking for trouble
grandiose claims
that neither he nor anyone else had anything to say worth hearing
parapatetic monk
grimly following weird inescapable Dharma
