poem || Jeff Harrison

The Aesthetic Mr. Beane

caves
are
the
go zones,
Sawney
Beane's
the
bread king,
folly
is
his flesh,
pearly &
serener, O,

O pearly &
serener
verse juice-dreary
in
the go zones
with
melted decimal,

the bread
of
the stranger
is
his fame,
warily golden

victims ruin
the
cave, Sawney
Beane muses,
whereas
bread is king
of
the
oven
as Virginia
is
queen
of
the grave,
toes
is
princes
of
shoeses

immortality cavern
preferred
of
vales, palaces,

white climes,
marble, sing
swans, unsullied
with
club-moss must

swans,
the
authors
of Sawney's silvery face,
are
sequencing out peeks
at
names Sawney's
weapons couldn't match

&
Virginia?: Sawney
removes her limbs,
in
daylight no less,
her words
ring this juice
on
the
bread

&
Sawney?: his
sweetest laws
bettered chaos

  1. Hm.

I have not idea why, but this left me thinking of Lascaux and Trois Frères.

    An interesting flow.
