poems || Jeff Harrison

Haiku III

The Virginia poems
Feared spring squeals but snow wastes snow
Cupid's prospects work

The minaret falls
Mr. Hole's stones fairly wake
Bottles hate short dogs

Pelicans wake to
Theories of the living dead
broken, born to lose

Pianos shoot spring
Still elegant, ice feasts break
Wait on bended knee

Smoke perhaps moves fire
Walking delicate, love turns
Eyes squeal when smoke plays

These judges hunt hell
squealing eyes of the setting sun
spy classic felons

Foolish matches lurk
Hell kisses incompetence
Liquid, false beasts sing

Blancmanges again
The orange cats whirl the mice
Verse jumps and verse squeals
